Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Demo
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014

Play as one of your favorite ninja turtles in this action-packed game.

Your goal when playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is to save the city of New York. The fighting and other action takes place in the city, but it's sometimes hard to see what you're doing because the setting is dark. The turtles sometimes blend in with the brick of the buildings, but the darkness does seem to offer a bit of protection at times so that you can sneak up on your opponent. Play as your favorite turtle, or you can take turns with all of them in the game.

While you're playing, you'll see a lot of odd creatures and strangers who are lurking in the shadows. They are waiting to attack you, so you need to have your weapons at the ready to defend yourself and the other turtles. The details on the turtles are a bit more modern than the classic turtles seen on television. You can be regarded as a hero in the city if you're able to defeat the numerous enemies that you come across. There's an abundance of ninja activity as well as a few acrobatic movements that you perform as you scale walls, climb ladders and leap over cars to get through the city as you defeat the enemies. Each turtle has his own special movements and a special weapon that is used. Sometimes, you'll do battle in the sewers and other activities can take place on top of roofs. The game can be fast-paced at times, so you need to always be on alert about your surroundings. However, there are a few fun scenes as well. You can take down the enemy with one of your brothers instead of trying to fight on your own.

Pros

  • Lots of action
  • Fun features
  • Play alone or with other turtles

Cons

  • Sound effects
  • Can't save game very often

Based on the epic CGI movie released in 2007, Ubisoft's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows PC game involves plenty of shell-shocking, weapon-to-face combat against the evil Foot Clan and the street-hardened members of the Purple Dragon Gang. But that's not all - new enemies are cropping up from out of the shadows all over the place, and the turtles have reason to believe that a wealthy and mysterious man going by the name of Max Winters might be involved. New York City needs everyone's favorite mean and green ninja turtle heroes to save them now more than ever.

Players can control any of the four radical turtles - Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, or Michelangelo - to acrobatically navigate the city, jumping from roof to roof and scaling tall buildings in true ninja fashion. Then they can dive straight into New York City's sewers for some underground combat that hits closer to home sweet home! The turtles are also required to team up in order to reach locations they can't get to on their own. Pairing up in combat even allows the turtles to combine their individual powers for vicious and combination attacks against enemies pulled straight from the movie and comic books!

Alternatively, the turtles can use their individual special abilities to find new routes and uncover more of the secrets New York City has to offer. The turtles also have their own individual combat skills based on each of the four's unique weapon and combat style, such as Raph's Sai throw at enemies. This is an action-packed third-person brawler never before seen in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series!

The online version features four player co-op for even more Foot stomping, Dragon busting action!

Pros:

  • The game includes an arcade mode and a challenge mode.
  • The controls are superb and contribute wonderfully to the action that truly makes the game what it is!
  • Fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series will love this game's take on their four favorite heroes!

Cons:

  • Many players have reported glitches during gameplay, including online matches not working, as well as expected or occasional freezes in the game.
